Al Ain Clocktower stands in the roundabout of the same name in Al-Ain town centre. The falcon, symbol of the UAE stands atop a cube shaped clock, with four faces, two with Arabic numerals, and an observation room underneath, all supported by four sweeping concrete supports. At the bottom is a fountain. The clocktower dates from the 1960's and is one of the oldest structures in Al-Ain. The structure needs repainting and the clock doesn't always show the
correct time. It's a shame the authorities don't take better care of this graceful
monument which is symbolises the national identity.
