The area along Sheikh Zayed Road, the main highway south out of Dubai was set aside for high rise office and apartment buildings. They have been built in a line so their outline can clearly be seen. This set of buildings displays some of the varying styles of contemporary architecture in the Middle East.

It was a very good idea to locate the modern buildings together outside the historic low-rise part of Dubai.
