The Burj Al Arab Hotel is captured at intervals of around 5 minutes as the sun's rays disappear from the sky and a nightly artificial light show casts vivid colours onto the hotel's eastern side, which is covered in white tent material. In this series of eight images, the floodlighting passes through white, then red, then blue, then a spectrum, then red and finally pastel green and purple.

At dusk the Burj Al Arab Hotel looks almost unreal, like a model from the set of Thunderbirds or Stingray.
