All that remains of St Luke's Church, Cheetham Hill is
the tower and the front walls. The rest, including a spire which stood
on top of the tower, has disappeared. The top of the tower is secured
by scaffolding. The decline of St Luke's is symbolic of the demise of
the old Cheetham Hill, but regeneration is in progress all around and
the ruin may yet be secured for the future.
