Looking over Manchester city centre towards
Piccadilly Plaza. On the left is the Arndale Centre tower, still
bearing down on Manchester with more than a football field's worth of
those ugly yellow tiles. Plans to reclad and add new floors to the
building have not come to fruition. Centre left is City Tower,
formerly the Sunley Building. The dark brown building in the centre is
Lowry House. Beneath the sloping glass roof sections is the
Arndale Centre shopping mall. It's curious how the Manchester skyline
forms a descending curve when seen from various angles.
