The Midway Levenshulme is a grand Victorian style pub with brown stone, a dome and ornamental half-timbered gables. In 1999 the wood was painted in what looks like dark bluish green. The only sign of modernity was a satellite dish on the south facade.

By 2005 the wood had been repainted in red. Other changes include a new pedestrian crossing and the repainted lamp post.  A new lamp post has also been added on Matthews Lane. The satellite dish is still there, though a red sign behind it has gone.
