I'd love to read such a book if you should ever get round to it! Oh, and 'The Golden Garter' .... that really brings back the memories. Not that I ever went there (too young) but my mum and dad used to head there of a Saturday to meet their mates and watch cheesy cabaret acts. Pretty legendary nightspot in (south ) Manc folklore really.
