Hi I am from Old Trafford originally My grandparents and Parents were from Hulme Has anyone got any info on the Thorntons From Queen St or The Stanfords from LLoyd St. My mother Mary Baker lived in Empress St in the 40s and she went to St Lawrences RC school my father Bernard Thornton went to St wilfreds Lindyloo

Bakers of Hulme/Stretford
Hi
This is a long shot, but my Grandmother was Mary Ethel baker, born , I think in Stretford 1872. Her father was Richard baker born Hulme 1842. I'm researching the family as I don't know any of her relatives alive today. She had 5 brothers and there must be loads of cousins out there. Alfred
