I used to love Stannage's late night phone in show. Many hilarious moments, but one that stands out ...

A guy called in droning on about buying a new 20 foot fishing rod, that cost him 600 quid. After boring everyone for 5 minutes, Stannage interjected and asked him, "So, you've got a 20 foot rod, and you go canal fishing then? " The guy agreed, and James said .. "Well why did you not just buy a 6 foot rod, and sit on the other side?

Genius.

For anyone who is interested.

James Stannage is still working, he now works for "Manchester Radio Online".

http://manchesterradioonline.com/

Its not as good as his old radio shows, because it is a bit slow now with not many callers due to it being an online radio, but he is still as good as ever, and plays those old comedy clips again.

Its worth a listen.

Here's the Time Schedule.
