Cool Spare wheel location

Hi, i,m piesy and just looking for some advice. It's 26th June 2008.
I've just bought a 72 Bay window camper and am looking for somewhere inside the van to locate the spare wheel. There is no depression in the rear corner for the wheel to sit in as i have seen in some other vans. I was wondering if i cut a hole in the bulkhead would the wheel slide under the front seats between the wheel arches. It looks a tight fit. Just wondered if anyone had seen or done this themselves ?

I have a 71. I always had it mounted on the front panel (outside) It is supposed to provide extra safety too. Also you have more room inside. Dont know about your bulkhead thing.
