Night view of the Liverpool waterfront from Seacombe on the Wirral, taken in 2004, before construction of the Museum of Liverpool. The former Royal and Sun Alliance Building is floodlit on the left. The Anglican Cathedral, not floodlit, is on the far right.
In 2010 I was contacted by the manager of the James Munro gastro pub on Tithebarn Street Liverpool. He needed a panorama of Liverpool to display in the pub. I recommended my Liverpool Waterfront panorama taken in 2009, which showed the new Museum of Liverpool. However he preferred this older one because he liked the floodlighting on the Royal Sun Alliance building, which is close to Tithebarn Street where the pub is located.
To see what they did with this image, go along to the James Munro pub and take a look behind the bar. The photo is displayed in black and white as part of a backlit panel. It looks great and I’m very proud to have taken it.
I can recommend the James Munro pub too, great food, drink and ambience!
