It's a bright sunny Sunday at the Pier Head, people are walking along the waterfront in front of the magnificent Royal Liver Building. In the background can be seen the Unity Building, one of the newer features on the skhline, and the Church of St Nicholas, probably the oldest.
This photo was taken for the book Liverpool Then and Now. My 18mm - 270mm Tamron lens set to 18mm wasn't quite wide enough to take in the full height of the buliding. So I took two overlapping photos and merged them in Photoshop. To see the 'Then' photo to accompany this one, you will need to buy the book!
