Image title: Manchester United 'Holy Trinity' statue George Best Denis Law Bobby Charlton

Manchester United

The statue of George Best, Denis Law and Bobby Charlton is the work of sculptor Philip Jackson and stands opposite the Manchester United football ground. The 'Manchester United Trinity' sculpture was officially unveiled on the 29th of May 2008, exactly forty years after Manchester United won the European Cup for the first time. This photo was taken for the book "Manchester United Then and Now" (Anova Books, autumn 2011).

Philip Jackson's sculpture of Charlton, Best and Law is probably Manchester's most looked at and photographed piece of public art.
