Liverpool Queensway Tunnel traffic at dusk with light trails

The entrance to the Queensway Tunnel with red trails left by rear lights of cars heading towards Birkenhead.

The architecture of the tunnel entrance is in the style of the 1930s. Architect of the entrances, toll booths and ventilation building exteriors was Herbert James Rowse.

The pillar that once stood in the centre of the roundabout has been removed, though a similar one can still be seen on the Birkenhead side.
