Historic Birkenhead Town Hall is now Wirral Museum. It overlooks Hamilton Square in the centre of the town of Birkenhead, just across the Mersey from Liverpool. A recently added street lamp is decorated with a tree, moon and stars.

Birkenhead's Hamilton Square is a remarkable place, with strong echoes of Glasgow. The contemporary street lamp is one of the most attractive I've seen anywhere. More on Hamilton Square and the Town Hall on the Wirral MBC website
