Renshaw Street and Anglican Cathedral (bw)

We are looking up Renshaw Street towards the tower of the Anglican Cathedral, which is silhouetted in the morning mist. On the left is the tower of the nearby disused church on Renshaw Street. At the bottom of the picture can be seen the legendary Rapid hardware store, a highly successful locally owned business which takes up a whole street. More info on Merseymouth

The use of monochrome, the strong verticals and diagonals and the effect atmospheric perspective give a dynamic but nostalgic effect.
