The west tower of the Liver Building with pink illuminated clock face and Liver birds. This how it looked at dusk in September 1999 against a purple sky. At the top, secured by cables, is one of the two Liver birds.

The Liver Building harks back to past centuries with its ornamentation but it is a product of the 20th century.
