The Portico Library was built 1802-4 and designed by Thomas Harrison. The ground floor has been converted into a pub and the library is on the first floor, accessed via the door next to the No Entry sign. A Metrolink tram passes on its way to Piccadilly. Further up the street are bank buildings old and new.

Mosley Street is a mix of interesting older buildings and disappointing newer ones. I took this photo for a photo presentation I gave at the Portico Library on 27 Feb 2003.
