Crystal Palace hill & masts seen from Purley

The transmission masts on the hill at Crystal Palace are a prominent feature of South London. We are looking from Purley, near the former Croydon Aerodrome. On a clear day it's possible to see right into the City of London.

The masts hark back to the early days of the BBC in the 20s and 30s.
