Manchester University new banner & Maths Building Oxford Rd

Looking down Oxford Road from the Precinct Centre bus stop, with one of the giant size banners marking the Manchester University merger on 1 October. Further down is the Maths Building which will soon disappear.

The banner proclaims in large letters on a green background: "Established to innovate and inspire". One reason for demolition of the Maths Building is that with its high rise construction and lift access, it is not able to handle the movement of large numbers of students.
