A purple sky over Victoria Park and Rusholme, captured 2001. We are looking from the corner of Denison Road and Conyngham Road. The spire belongs to Holy Trinity Chuch Platt Lane. Unusual atmospheric conditions caused the spectacular pink sky. No digital enhancement of this image was necessary! The sky actually looked like that. Now it would be impossible to take this photo as the space in front of us is occupied by Bellway Homes Victorian-style apartments since constructed on this site, once St Vincent de Paul School (and before that, Pius X)
