The Blue Pyramid seen during heavy rain at dusk from the north side of the motorway. The spire of St Edwards church Edgeley can be seen on the right. The River Mersey, ancient boundary between Lancashire and Cheshire, flows just behind the Pyramid, home to the Manchester-based Co-operative Bank.

There was torrential rain on the evening of 29 July 2003. I had to use a plastic bag to shelter the camera, which was mounted on a tripod. Wife and baby were inside the car next to me as I took the photos. The vewpoint is next to the railings between Petsmart and Office World off Didsbury Road.
