The Blue Pyramid as it looked on the first day of
the New Millennium 1 January 2000 - shrouded in fog. We are looking across the old
Brinksway Bridge from Cheshire into Lancashire.
The Victorian weather that ushered in the year 2000 just proves what a nonsense it is to talk about the 'new millennium' as being somehow futuristic, and an excuse to make everything exclusively modern.
