View down Peter Street Manchester from near the Free Trade Hall. Further down Quay Street is the Granada TV building with its communications tower silhouetted against the sky. Also silhouetted are the domed towers of Sunlight house and on the right the Albert Hall, which now houses Brannigans night club.

Here, Peter Street almost has the look of a street in New York, with the dusk sky visible between tall silhouetted buildings. Since this photo was taken the Esure building has appeared on Quay St, blocking the view of the Granada Building.
