Manchester Cathedral Gardens fountains & CIS Building

Manchester's CIS building and Century House are seen through the fountains at the end of Cathedral Gardens, near Victoria Station. Tuesday 2 March is bright and sunny in Manchester. Look out for the stereoscopic version of this photo, captured at the same time on the Stereo Realist camera.

For the first time I've noticed that the stepped height of the wooden posts with spouts in between may have been designed to echo the outlines of the CIS and neighbouring buildings. Photography forces you to look at familiar subjects and notice new things.
