A brown and white tourist sign in Tralee points to Jungle Jims Adventure World family entertainment centre. The sign below pointing to Ard Fhearta / Ardfert and Baile Uí Thaidhg / Ballyheigue is an older cast iron type put up in the early years of the Irish state. Destinations are given in Irish using small letters with English in big letters. Distances are in Irish miles, slightly longer than English miles. It's a shame that these signs, so characteristic of traditional Ireland, are being taken down and replaced by the much less attractive modern signs with distances in kilometres.
