Ramesh Shukla is originally from India but has lived in Dubai since the 1960's. His photographs and paintings provide a document of the UAE's development from its earliest origins to the present day.

Ramesh Shukla's work provides a precious view of the UAE as it used to be. He has photographed places and people including senior Sheikhs and visiting diginitaries, and is highly technically accomplished. I met and photographed Ramesh Shukla at his shop in the Dubai Heritage Village on 28 April 2001.
