Designer Magazine is a website about music by web journalist Alex McCann, though the title suggests otherwise. Online since 1996, the site is full of reviews and info on scores of artists, famous and obscure, who have performed live in Manchester and further afield.

Simple in layout, well written, with high production values and many fabulous photographs, Designer Magazine is a prime example of what a committed music fan with a flair for writing can achieve, starting off with just a pen and paper, digital camera, a computer and some webspace.
