Paul Morley is one of the UK's most distinguished music journalists. Since the late 70's he has eloquently documented the evolution of popular music and culture. His articles for the NME have been devoured, cut out, quoted and argued over possibly more than those by any other music writer. He has written books, presented TV programmes and continues to create music as member of The Art of Noise. Paul Morley's pallid face and adenoidal voice are so familiar, it was a bit like meeting up with with an old school chum. He is originally from Stockport and it was fun to exchange memories of taking the all night 192 bus home after nights out to see bands in Manchester, though I reckon few other people alive today have a more in-depth experience and knowledge of both the more glamorous and seedier sides of British pop music than Paul Morley.
