Ex pupils from Alfred Street School Harpurhey Manchester were reunited at an event on 22 July 2005 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the school, which later became Harpur Mount School. Most had not seen each other since they left in 1958

The 'old' Manchester of the 1950s seems like ancient history, yet these 'girls' who grew up in that era don't look 'ancient' at all. In 2005 they will all be sixty years... young.
