18th century houses on Falkner Street Liverpool. The houses, railings, flagstones and other details are virtually unchanged since the time they were built. Falkner St and surrounding streets have been used for location shooting on historical tv dramas and films.
I love locations which are 'chronologically homogeneous' - a term I have coined to describe a scene where all visual elements appear to be from a particular era, here the late 18th century. A modern lampost or double yellow line can ruin a location like this. Here I have cropped out the parked cars. Liverpool has some fantastic historical locations, and is in general an excellent place for filmmaking.
