A blue and cream number 65 bus waits on Eden Quay next to Butt Bridge. This is one of a large fleet of Northern Ireland-built Alexander buses with Volvo engine and chassis. The electronic destination board shows 'City Centre' and in Irish 'An Lar'. Coming to Dublin from the UK nowadays, the buses are the same as those in Manchester, London and other British cities. Dublin's city owned and run bus service is superior in many ways to the mostly privatised buses which operate in UK cities.
