This is James Joyce Bridge, seen from further down the Quay. It is overlooked by newly built apartment blocks on the right. Traffic makes its way along the Quays, including a 68 bus on its way to the city centre.

The effect of this new bridge is quite different to the others. Similar in style to bridges in Newcastle and Manchester it has nothing in common with the style of surrounding buildings or with the era of the author it's named after.
