The Beetham Tower under construction rises up at the end of Anson Road, Victoria Park. The Beetham Tower is now the most visible structure in Manchester ad can be seen for miles around. Here we are about 2 miles from the tower. On Anson Road, a Stagecoach 50 bus is heading into the city centre, while an Arriva 130 is on its way to Macclesfield.

The Beetham Tower is situated close to the ancient town of Manchester which stood just outside the Roman fort. The building lines up with roads around the city, many of which must follow tracks from Roman times which led to the Fort, not the present day centre. The appearance of an ultra-modern building thus allows us to reconnect with our ancient past. This effect can also be seen in Berlin with Berlin TV Tower.
