Residents from streets in the Ancoats/Miles Platting area of Manchester held a protest outside the Town Hall in Albert Square. They are against the demolition of their homes, located in an area currently undergoing major redevelopment.
Local councillor John Flanagan spoke to the residents, who were quite agitated. One of them told me: "They just want to move us out so they can build yuppie flats". I just happened to be passing and took these photos.
