This sign gives information about the Sli na Slainte or 'Route of Health' which runs along the coast by the town of Skerries, north of Dublin. In the distance, further up the Irish coast, can be seen the Mountains of Mourne in Co Down, Northern Ireland.

The Sli na Slainte (pronounced 'shlee na slaainche') is an initiative of the Irish Heart Foundation in association with Fingal County Council. Fingal is a new local government area set up in 1993 when the existing County Dublin was split into three for administrative purposes.
