Gnevin Castle stands on a hilltop high above the town of Most (German Brüx) in the Czech Republic. There is a statue depicting the Englishman Edward Kelly or Kelley (1555-1597) who claimed to be a spirit medium and alchemist. He was imprisoned in Gnevin Castle by a local count for failing to deliver on his promise to produce gold, and according to tradition he died whilst trying to escape.

There is a magnificent view from Gnevin Castle over Most and surrounding areas. The castle now functions as a hotel and has an excellent restaurant.
