Modern architecture mistakes X-List Leeds Civic Hall new lights

The facade of Leeds Civic Hall, a 1930s neo-classical civic building, with new contemporary style lights put up around the time of the redevelopment of Millennium Square around 2001.


The elaborate new lamp posts spoil the view of the facade of Leeds Civic Hall. It's typical of the lack of respect shown by modern development towards the older city. To get an uninterrupted view I will need to remove the lamp post in Photoshop, but why should I have to do this?
