HRH Prince Charles visited the Victoria
Baths Chorlton-on-Medlock on the afternoon of Friday 24th of October 2003.
Among the many people he met was Chandy Coverley, Chair of the Friends of Victoria
Baths.
She founded the campaign to save the baths in 1993 when they were closed
by Manchester City Council.
Prince Charles has an amazing ability to remember names and faces. Today's royal visit was fitting recognition for all the hard work done by the Friends of the Victoria Baths, especially Chandy, since 1993.
