Located close to the centre of Dubai, this the busiest airport in the UAE. This is the main terminal building overlooking Airport Road, with the short-stay parking area in the foreground. The futuristic control tower is part of the gigantic new Sheikh Rashid Terminal. It is built out on the apron and is accessible via a pedestrian tunnel.

This image is used on the website of US-based Hunter Douglas who have supplied architectural metal ceilings to Dubai Airport.

The older terminal retains much of the attractiveness and convenience that newer airports often lack. The new Sheikh Rashid Terminal is a masterpiece of contemporary airport design. The only disadvantage is the long walk to and from the new terminal.
