Dubai World Trade Centre and top of Sheikh Zayed Road

Sheikh Zayed Road is the main highway into Dubai from the south. It curves to the right and descends into an underpass by the World Trade Centre Tower, Dubai's first skyscraper built in the 1980's.

The Dubai World Trade Centre tower remains an attractive building that's preferable to many newer structures. The combination of new and old, e.g the traditional style exterior sunshades used on a high rise building, as well as the cream colour and the art deco overtones make this building a timeless classic, a monument to the UAE's earlier years of development.
