Dusk silhouette of the clock tower of Birkenhead Town Hall on the other side of the river from Liverpool. To the right are the chimney pots of the nearby houses, and rising above them the town hall flag, The viewpoint is next to the Woodside ferry terminal. Since 1974 Birkenhead has been part of Wirral Borough Council, and Birkenhead Town Hall is now a museum.

A 'chronogenic' view, with virtually no modern elements. I like to imagine Birkenhead as it was before modernisation.
