Dakara is a still thirst-quenching drink containing minerals and other ingredients. It's made by Suntory and is very popular in Japan. You can buy it in the drinks machines located everywhere on streets all over Japan. It cost 120 yen from most drinks machines.

We were in Japan from late August to early September 2005 and it was very hot and humid. In conditions like this you sweat a lot and need to drink litres of liquid every day. Dakara was my favourite drink of all the ones I tried. It has a fruity taste, though not sweet, 'thicker' than water, very satisfying. I photographed this bottle of Dakara during my visit to the Pokemon Park in Nagoya.
