The Tate Britain (former Tate Gallery) stands on Millbank near the Houses of Parliament. This is how it looked at around 5.50pm Sunday 22 January 2006, as people were leaving. The Tate Britain displays British art from 1500 to the present day. This building was opened in 1897.
