Trains entering and leaving Baker Street station in the London Underground, 24 June 2005. On 7 July 2005, two weeks after I took this photo, the London Underground was targeted by terrorist attacks. On 23 and 24 June I made several trips on the Circle and District Lines. Each time I imagined what it would be like to be involved in a terrorist attack, and kept looking around for suspicious bags. It struck me that there were relatively few security measures on the London Underground, and that levels of alertness had recently dropped.
