Chinese dragon on Faulkner Street Manchester during festivities to mark Chinese New Year, 29 February 2006. As part of the Chinese New Year rituals, the dragon enters and exits all the restaurants along the street - followed by a large crowd of people many of whom are taking pictures with camera phones. Photographing an event like this is extremely difficult, due to the large crowds of people blocking the view, and the upredictability of movement, lighting and just about everything else. I took over 20 rapid-fire photos of the dragon but only these two I considered usable.
