Looking up at Manchester Chinese Arch during events to mark Chinese New Year 29 January 2006. As part of the festivities, red balloons were released into the air above Chinatown.
I wonder if that's where German pop singer Nena got the idea for her song '99 Red Balloons' / '99 Luftballons' which was a number one hit in the UK during March 1984.
