On the Liverpool waterfront, newer buildings on the left, including the Beetham Tower, blend with older buildings, the so-called 'Three Grades' on the Pier Head, on the right. The tide is currently out leaving the sands exposed. The promenade stretches all the way from New Brighton to Seacombe, and beyond.
