We are standing by the Pier Head in Liverpool looking across the River Mersey. The Mersey Ferry Egremont is approaching the terminal after making the short trip from Woodside. In the distance are Cammell Laird shipyards. Cranes and ships under construction are visible on the Wirral side. The double arched roof of Woodside terminal (right) resembles Lime St Station. The roofs at Woodside have gone, as have most of the cranes, but the ferries are still there, though now carrying mainly tourists. Photo taken by ex-geography teacher Brother Anselm Keogh.
