Looking along Southport Pier towards the Irish Sea. Southport Pier extends from the Promenade out over the sands towards the sea. It's the evening and people are strolling up and down the pier.

Southport pier was closed for a time, and threatened with demolition but it has been fully restored and is one of Southport's main attractions. Unfortunately outer section of the pier is closed during the evening.
